About Sabah Food
Sabah Food is Sabah's local food and restaurant guide: what to eat in Sabah, where to eat it and why it matters.
What we do
Sabah Food helps visitors and residents find good food across Sabah. We combine three things that are usually spread across different sites: a knowledge base of local dishes, a directory of places to eat, and practical guides for each town.
Every dish page explains what the dish is, where it comes from and where to eat it, with sources. Every restaurant listing shows its halal status and price level, and how it was checked: a listing an editor has visited shows the date of that visit, and a listing researched from public sources shows its sources and research date and is marked as not yet visited. We recommend a place only after an editor has visited it.
Who writes Sabah Food
Sabah Food Editorial Team: The Sabah Food desk writes and maintains the dish, place and restaurant pages on this site. We update pages when we change them, and every restaurant listing says whether an editor has visited it or it was researched from public sources, with the date.
Dish pages cite their sources. Restaurant listings show a verification status and the date of the last check.
